This season, TriptheDark presents BYOP which explores the idea of perspective – how can the same event be experienced differently by each attendee? Dancers will ask the audience to look at the perspectives of each performer, but also to examine what it is that they have personally “brought” to the show. The company has collaborated with a local videographer, Lee Dunn, to communicate these ideas, and will perform for two weekends (April 21-23 & 28-29) at the Chapel Theatre in Milwaukie, Oregon.

BYOP was co-directed by Stephanie Seaman, Taylor McDougall, and Anna Sass, and contains their choreography plus pieces by other company members Corinn deTorres, Ashley Long, Diana Schultz, and guest tap choreographer cas majewski of Congruency Dance Collective. TriptheDark pride themselves on including a range of different choreography styles, which is showcased in BYOP.
